i was thinking of something similar to war of the roses. but i know the animations could be tough. maybe have a way to climb on someone and attempt to kill them with a dagger. like in a non scripted way. im pretty baked so sorry if this is dumb.

Currently we're toying with a few options:

One could be that when looking straight down, the moveset could be altered so that it better suits attacking a downed opponent (e.g. changing the grip on the spear from under to overhand). You could potentially press and hold kick to use the foot to pin down the opponent and make sure they don't move.

A full & thorough implementation of a ground combat moveset would likely be required in order to perform a full mount like that and have options to properly attack and defend. So this would require grappling to be introduced first, but still a cool goal!

That fence is 2 feet off the ground

Id rather get knocked out than say I knocked myself out climbing over a small ass fence like that
