Higher physics fps

I noticed that if you lower you resolution, characters move way faster. Is this intended? Fps is still same but physics work much smoother.

As in screen resolution? That seems very strange to me.

During our testing we didn't encounter any differences in game speed, but by tweaking some settings you can experience physics smoothness differently.

The default physics FPS is 50 (at setting "Good") - generally you'd want the general FPS to be a bit higher (about 60) so you don't lose out on responsiveness with the occasional frame drop.

Character physics & animation is linked to the physics timestep, so this should remain a constant at any setting. The only thing that does effect character speed, however, is their body composition. The height & muscle/fat morphs have a big influence on how fast a character can move and perform actions, as well as their actual physical weight.

Thanks Kaya, and sorry for late response! How is stuff going on with armed combat?

Hope you don't mind me answering instead ;)

Currently, work on armed combat is paused because we are integrating our existing features with our new game framework we've created. This is necessary to have a stable way to deal with all the different equipment, skills etc. that will be in the game - as well as hooking it up with the arena mode that is also currently a WIP :)
